I spent the first two months of this year helping out another project at Kabam (all pictures copyright them 2012) to explore some character designs, in an attempt to make the game more appealing to a diverse audience.  Well... minus the news anchor, who is just supposed to be a shallow cheeseball.  They decided to take the game in a totally different direction, but this was fun.
